The IDLS2025 booking fee does not include hotel accommodation. We have negotiated a discounted rate with the following hotels: Fairmont Empress, Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour and DoubleTree by Hilton Victoria for the duration of the symposium. If you are a gold, silver, or bronze exhibitor, a number of room nights are included in your package; please contact the events team to book additional rooms and/or nights’ accommodation at the Fairmont Empress.
Short-term accommodation in Victoria and British Columbia is restricted by law, limiting private rentals. We recommend staying at a hotel.
The Fairmont Empress is situated in Downtown Victoria, facing the city's Inner Harbour. The hotel is a 4-minute walk from the Victoria Conference Centre and a 5-minute walk from Victoria Ferry Terminal.
Opened on 20 January 1908, the Châteauesque-styled building is considered one of Canada's grand railway hotels. The building was designated as a National Historic Site of Canada in January 1981.
